Story
At the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' Geneva campus, TSF is progressively renaturing a 13,000 m² park made available to the public, through four complementary landscape interventions, in partnership with the Ville de Genève.
Four interventions
- 200 m² Miyawaki micro-forest — completed. See the finished micro-forest →
- 500 m² food forest — completed.
- 400 m² medicinal garden — completed.
- 6,000 m² managed woodland / understorey — planned.
The micro-forest, food forest and medicinal garden — 1,090 m² in total, with 3,270 trees planted and around 500 people involved so far — are now complete. Only the 6,000 m² managed woodland/understorey remains undelivered; it should not be read as finished impact. CO₂ absorption across the completed area is estimated by TSF at 0.55–1.36 tonnes per year.
